"The IVFD has 3 stations with our main station located in the City of Inez which has a population of around 600 people. Station 2 is located on Rt. 908 Coldwater Road. This station was just built and completed in the spring of 2006. Station 3 is located on Rt. 40 Tomahawk. The IVFD has 32 members who are all volunteers. Each one of these members are very dependable to answer calls no matter the time of day or night. The IVFD not only answers fire calls but also responds to car wrecks and is a first responder for the EMS. The IVFD has been under the direction of Chief Lee Gauze for 3 years. The IVFD has grown in the last several years mainly due to the need and demand of a Fire Department. The IVFD strives to offer one of the best services in our small county, and is dedicated to serving others no matter the cost."
